Coconut bowls filled with fresh fruit on palm leaves beside the water

Our story.From shell to everyday.

One surf trip.A different way of seeing.

In 2015, Jake McKeon discovered artisans crafting discarded coconut shells in Bali. He imagined something simple: a natural bowl for everyday meals. He brought the first 100 bowls home to Australia in his surfboard bag. What began as gifts for friends soon became something worth sharing.

Not waste.A new beginning.

Coconut shells are often left behind by the coconut industry. We see a material with a life still to live. Giving each shell a second purpose turns something overlooked into something you'll reach for every day.

Made by hand.Made to matter.

Working with farmers and artisans in Vietnam and Indonesia, Coconut Bowls brings traditional skills to everyday objects. Each shell is shaped, sanded and polished, with its natural character still part of the finished bowl.

No two shells alike.
No two stories the same.

A curve, a grain, a little irregularity. The marks of nature aren't hidden away. They're what make your bowl yours.

Made for real life. And moments worth sharing.

Back in Australia, photographs of breakfast in Coconut Bowls began spreading on Instagram. The business launched in 2016. Today, the same simple idea remains: good food, natural things and a table with room for one more.

Good food. Even better company.

Small choices.Beautiful difference.
